Arrived onsite today to be shown a small circuit that Mikey had redeviced that was tripping. On the panel end was a gfci breaker for that same circuit, but Mikey also put a gfci on that circuit in the kitchen. Not only was the breaker tripping when nothing was wrong with it, but it seemed the countertop gfci and breaker gfci were butting heads causing nuisance tripping. There were spare breakers in the panel that were new so i ended up testing and putting that circuit back onto a standard breaker, since it was already gfci protected from the kitchen, and everything held just fine. I ran several tests and that was the outcome. I also did a preformance and safety assessment and wrote up a few options for her but the resident doesn’t want to move forward with anything at this time.

The reason for today’s visit was to provide solutions on installing a new cook top and re-wiring the current in wall oven. Todays solution is as follows: This package includes replacement of the main 200 amp panel that’s currently installed. The current panel is hazardous due to the over heating aspects, the multiple shared circuits, wires deteriorating, and circuits overloading. With the panel upgrade we will install new grounding and bonding by way of new ground rods, and gas/water bonding,To meet current county and code safety requirements.. Solution also includes removing current circuit that feeds the appliances in the kitchen (In Wall Oven/Cook Top) and installing two new circuits that meet required amperage. Currently both the Cook top (40 amps) and the in wall over (30 amps) are being fed off the same 50 amp breaker and shared inside of the 1900 box below the oven. Both are required to have an independent circuit supplying power to each appliance and landed in a form of discon

Today’s visit was for ceiling fan installs in two separate rooms. Fans are older and starting to work intermittently. I also saw the switches were backstabbed. I recommend replacing them as well. We also discussed the rest of the house in the same way. Customer decided to move forward with replacing all switches and receptacles on the second floor for now. Will address the other floors at a later visit. Work is complete. Replace (2) ceiling fans Replace all switches and receptacles on second floor

Today’s visit was for GFCI circuit not working. We found that the devices were severely worn and broken on the outside, and the GFCI in the bathroom would not go above 82 V. We eventually found that the hot wire going to the GFCI was connected to a dimmer, causing the voltage to drop. We corrected the issue and also replaced all the devices on the circuits. Job is complete. also, please see attached estimates for panel corrections.

The reason for todays visit was for new ceiling fan install in a roughly 12 feet or taller ceiling. We would derive power from a receptacle that would be below the new location for the switch for the ceiling fan. There would be some drywall that would need to be cut and repaired. Please see attached for estimate to install the ceiling fan for you. Let us know if you have any additional questions, the estimate is good for 30 days.

Arrived onsite and the resident showed me to the third floor where he wanted a ceiling fan added in the child’s bedroom where none currently exists. The switch that should be controlling any switch controlled outlets just isn’t controlling any outlets. So for the master bedroom we would have to go through all the outlets and find where it is so we can possibly convert it to a switch controlled outlet for a lamp. The customer had the fan so i wrote up pricing for that. On top of that i also noticed that the smoke detectors were mostly different or way out of date. I’m mentioning that to the resident i had a talk with him about the process of replacing all those as well since he had interest in possibly renting the home out in the next few years. He took a meeting and i wrote up pricing to get it all done. The power had gone out at this point from the storming but also he wants to discuss the pricing with his wife before moving forward. I am emailing all the options to him.

-Arrived onsite and discussed the ceiling fan project that would be going in the living room. They had bought a flush mount fan to go in the living room, that is controlled by a remote and they wanted it pulled off the nearest outlet. I made a plan and then went over it with them, as well as when i looked at the panel i discussed surge protection with them as well. After writing up options they wanted to get the fan installed end to end, and the whole home surge protection as well, which ended up being upgraded to a vortex mini because we were out of cutler hammer ones at that time. I got started by covering the living rom and cutting to fish my line in for the fan, got all that setup, the line in, installed the bar box and got past all the exterior wall framing and got my other end down to the nearest outlet. I got my fan bar brace box and wire in place, removed the old outlet and installed a new one where i was tying into, and then lastly went and installed the whole home surge prote

The reason for today’s visit was to quote adding power to the gazebo. We saw a 200 amp CH panel that was located in the garage during our inspection of the panel. We saw double tapped grounds and neutrals, as well as shared neutral circuits, so we would correct that. We would run a new circuit and install new weather proof outlets outside, and we would install a customer supplied ceiling fan.

We will install two new customer supplied 2’ x 4’ LED lighting fixtures in the basement drop ceiling. We will remove the existing lights and wire accordingly. I would say we will also be installing customer supplied dimmer switch to Control the new fixtures. Finally, we will be replacing customer supplied bathroom exhaust fan in the hallway bathroom

Installation of two new 15 amp AFCI breakers to replace current damaged breakers. We will remove the old breakers and install the new ones. Nothing is showing as needing a device replacement as renovations were done recently with up to current safety requirements (tamper resistant). No warranty with work due to not being able to diagnose true root of issue.

Arrived onsite to look at the customer’s level 1 EV charger which ended up being just an exterior outlet. The outlet and in-use cover were very weathered and was letting moisture into the box. This led us to the house GFCI that was not resetting and had been painted over heavily. We also checked the exterior outlet on the rear of the home and it was in similar condition to the front exterior outlet. During our inspection, we also noticed a lack of surge protection in the main panel. We brought this up to the customer and he was not interested in going with the surge today, as he would like to do more research; we will be sending an additional quote for just the surge protection as per request. We then replaced both front and rear exterior outlets with new weather resistant outlets and new in-use covers, as well as replacing the house GFCI under the electrical panel.
