Job Summary - - Replacement of the Dryer Receptacle - Replacement of a Duplex Receptacle Job Notes - Reason for today’s visit with the customer was a To-Do list. The customer mentioned new installation of smoke detectors, new ceiling fans, replacing devices, and installing a four prong plug for the dryer in place of the old one. The panel is an older Bryant with the cover framed in. I was unable to get it off without tearing out the drywall. Regardless this panel is at its time of replacement and I provided the customer with a quote to replace it. The four smokes were to be installed in the upstairs bedrooms. The three ceiling fans were going to be installed in the upstairs bedrooms except for the primary. Finally the largest concern besides the dryer plug was a burnt up receptacle in the upstairs room to the right of the stairs. After building quotes the customer decided to opt out of the membership and move forward with the installation of a new dryer receptacle and replacing the u

Today we looked at the basement wiring. There’s no framing to be able to provide pricing to correct the wiring at the basement at this time. However, once framing is up, we will need to do a complete rewire as all of the boxes are completely rusted out and the wire that is there was installed in the 70s and is a style of wire that we cannot put back in place. Being that the basement ceiling and walls are all open. The wires that are there will also not be long enough to make it to the new locations. Once frame is installed, we can return to provide pricing for new wiring for the basement receptacles and lighting.
Replace exterior receptacle on back of home. Replace wireless doorbell system Covert 2 lamp fluorescent fixture to LED and remove ballast The reason for today’s visit was to check a back receptacle that was not working after they had the house washed. They also had a fluorescent light that was not working in the basement and requested to have the wireless doorbell system replaced as the old one was no longer working. The back receptacle is not working due to a trip GCI in the basement that only had these two receptacles on the circuit. We went ahead and replaced the back receptacle with a new weather resistant one with a new in use cover. We also converted the basement light to LED by installing LED bypass lamps and removing the ballast. Finally, we installed a new wireless doorbell kit with two push buttons one at the front door and one to side.

Replace 4 garage receptacles The reason for today’s visit was to look at power loss in the garage receptacles. We arrived we found that there were four receptacles in the garage that were only 94 V. While searching for our power loss, we found that there was a GFCI in the closet in the room beside the garage which powered the circuit. The GFCI was working properly however, when we open the first receptacle behind the freezer, we found that the neutral wire was burnt and was barely into the back of the receptacle. We showed a customer and informed her that their devices were backstabbed and that they should be replaced. Customer said that she just wanted the floor in the garage done today and that she would look into having the rest of the house, checked out at a later date as she had just moved in.
9/4/25 Client has decided not go forward with the project. We have already pulled the electrical permit and will now cancel it. We will refund the balance from the deposit to their CC.
